About Lavenwell

At Lavenwell, we are privileged to quite literally taste and see that the Lord is good. (Psalm 34:8)

It is a gift to steward this little corner of North Texas, and an even greater blessing to share a small piece of it with others.

Lavenwell began with a simple desire to cultivate beauty, steward the land faithfully, and create a life centered around faith, family, and meaningful work. What started as a love for gardening has grown into a small homestead where every season brings new opportunities to learn, create, and care well for the people and animals entrusted to us.

Today our farm is home to Nubian dairy goats, Harlequin sheep, poultry, honeybees, and Karakachan livestock guardian dogs. Every animal serves a purpose, and together they contribute to a thriving homestead that continually teaches us the value of patience, stewardship, and hard work.

From our herd's rich milk, we handcraft nourishing goat milk soaps, lotions, and other small-batch products available in our Farm Shop. We are passionate about raising healthy, structurally sound dairy goats and thoughtfully planned livestock, producing a limited number of quality animals each year for families who value responsible breeding and excellent husbandry as much as we do.

Our newest venture, Lavenwell Farm Stay, grew from that same desire to care well. Rather than operating as a traditional boarding facility, we've created a peaceful boutique retreat where only a handful of dogs are welcomed at a time. Every guest receives individualized attention, plenty of outdoor time, and a calm farm environment designed to feel as close to home as possible.

Lavenwell isn't the story of someone who has it all figured out. It's the story of a family committed to learning, growing, and stewarding well. Whether you've found us through our farm products, Farm Stay, or simply because you enjoy following life on the homestead, we're grateful you're here.

Welcome to Lavenwell.

The Heart Behind Lavenwell

Hi, I'm Jenna—the wife, mother, small business owner, and homesteader behind Lavenwell.

Although I was born here in Texas, I've been blessed to call many places home. Growing up, I lived throughout the United States and overseas, and I've had the opportunity to travel extensively. Experiencing different cultures, landscapes, and ways of life broadened my perspective and shaped many of the values I hold today. Those experiences taught me to appreciate craftsmanship, hard work, beauty in the ordinary, and the richness of a life rooted in faith, purpose, and gratitude.

Our family is also proud to have served as an Air Force family during my husband's active-duty military career. Those years taught us resilience, adaptability, and a deep appreciation for service and sacrifice. Veterans, active-duty military members, and their families will always hold a special place in my heart.

Before Lavenwell, I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Pacific Lutheran University in Washington and spent my days as a Registered Nurse caring for mothers and newborns all along the west coast. Nursing taught me attentiveness, compassion, and the importance of caring well for others—values that continue to shape everything I do today.

Most mornings you'll find me in the garden before sunrise, milking goats, checking beehives, making goat milk soap for the farm shop, caring for our animals, or working on the next project around the farm. I genuinely love learning new skills, and one of my greatest joys is sharing what I'm learning with others as our homestead continues to grow.

Lavenwell is the culmination of so many chapters of our family's story. It is where we've chosen to put down roots, raise our three children, steward God's creation, and build something that reflects the things we value most.

Thank you for being here and for supporting our little farm. It truly means more than you know.
